I then started hunting down the best price - also online. There weren't many places that sold the unit I was after, but Challenge Hi-Fi was one. I sent them a message online to find out their best price.
All our communication was online, and I was blown away by how quickly Steve responded ... and we had a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing with negotiations, etc. At every step of the way, Steve kept me informed.
I ended up with the product I was after, delivered promptly, for a price that beat everyone else.
From my experience, this level of service is rare, and becoming even more so. I still haven't heard back from another company I contacted at the same time ...
